Why President Biden Shouldn’t Drop Out of the Presidential Race

In case you missed it, Cenk Uygur is at it again, triggering liberals. Former conservative Cenk Uygur is founder of the TYT (The Young Turks), a successful news streaming platform focusing primarily on politics. Cenk is a lawyer by trade, and he and his team identify as Progressives, and I’m sure they make the head of every Conservative and some Democrats nearly burst. After President Joe Biden’s less than stellar performance at the presidential debate with ex-president Donald Trump, Cenk has been having an online YouTube meltdown, urging and predicting President Biden’s presidential campaign drop out.

The Problem Cenk’s Predicition

Cenk’s delivery is the perfect representation of TYT, an honest, unbridled evaluation of all political parties and candidates mixed with mild rage. As many are, Cenk is concerned with Biden’s lackluster performance that calls into question or solidifies his perceived mental health issues related to his age. On July 3, 2024, Cenk released a video on YouTube titled “BIDEN DROPPING OUT!!! Official TYT Prediction”, and this video is in poor taste, as it risks shifting public opinion against President Biden.

Donald Trump has proven himself to be a foe to be reckoned  with, and President Biden’s dropping out so close to the election would cause more harm to the Democratic party’s efforts than good. It’s complex, but they would have to choose another candidate and hope the public does not reject that person.

Donald Trump has been convicted of 34 felonies, found liable for sexual assault and insists that, as president, he could order Seal Team Six to murder political rivals as an “official act.” If Trump were just a corpse that could talk, Republicans would explain why they’re supporting such a “deadly” candidate. They’d spin it so that the world would be questioning why they wouldn’t vote for a rotting corpse.

One common theme that has constantly deteriorated the Democratic party from the inside out is a perceived weakness and willingness to bend the knee. They have been seen as cowards who get involved in staring contests with Republicans but blink first. Cenk is encouraging them to do the same.

What Will Democratic (And Independent) Voters Do?

I view my political ideology closer to that of an Independent or maybe even a Moderate. Right now, I understand we are choosing between kinda good and pure evil. Even if Biden were a corpse, I’d cast my vote for him. President Biden can ramble at press conferences, wander off when meeting with foreign leaders or trip down stairs. At the end of the day, he’s stayed the Affordable Care Act, created more jobs and helped close the poverty gap.

Biden is old as Christmas, but the man is still there. He still knows and believes a woman should have autonomy over her body and that kids should be educated without being forced to engage in the religion being thrown on them against their First Amendment rights. President Biden is still the man who will get things done, and we all know it, including Independents and Moderates.

We know the next president will likely be naming two Supreme Court justices. We’ve seen what a Conservative supermajority can do. They’ve dismantled Roe v. Wade, assured public servants they can collect “gratuities” from those they award contracts to and seemingly agreed that Trump as president could assassinate political opponents and American citizens. We understand the gravity of the situation. Expound on that instead of President Biden’s age.

What Happens without President Biden?

Democratic voters might feel discouraged from voting and deflated. Moderate and Independent voters might decide not to vote at all or cast a symbolic vote for a write-in candidate. The fallout from a potential President Biden’s dropout might cause irreparable harm and lead to Democrats being defeated.

It’s a given that all politicians lie, but some lie better than others, and Democrats aren’t great at lying. But there’s still time to reinforce the importance of this election and voting for President Biden. There is too much at stake, including the Supreme Court which will shape the course of the country for the next 40 years or longer. Stop talking about Biden’s age, Cenk and the rest of the media. Stop talking about his so-called mental deficiencies. We get it. You and the rest of the media want the old man to dropout. Cool. That’s your opinion. Let the rest of us show you our own, and stop believing all those unhelpful, slanted polls.
