Social media stars Logan Paul, Mr. Beast and KSI have launched a new food product called Lunchly, similar in concept to the popular Lunchables. Unlike Lunchables with decades of great reviews and warm reception, Lunchly seems to be a lunchtime flop with spoiled cheese.

The Problem with Lunchly

As Lunchly was founded by social media influencers, it’s only right that its most popular reviews are haling in from social media. While some buyers like creator Rosanna Pansino have reportedly found mold on their cheese, YouTuber Isiah Photo claims to have eaten Lunchly for a week straight and regretted it.

The general consumer reviews are anything but rave. Although the Lunchly expiration dates are months out, consumers are claiming in droves to be finding molded cheese in their food. The scariest thing is, many of these are parents buying this as a snack or lunch for their children. This could leave a child hungry or sick.

The cheese is either poorly packaged or can’t be stabilized.

Ironically, Logan Paul and his collaborators positioned Lunchly as healthier than Lunchables since Lunchly is made with real cheese. Outside of the fact that many people are lactose intolerant, stabilizing real cheese is difficult and expensive. The cheese is either poorly packaged or can’t be stabilized. At any rate, it’s looking like the decision to go with real cheese was a poorly thought out one and is going to hurt the brand of Lunchly tremendously.

The Problem with Logan Paul

Logan Paul is engrained in at least a couple of lawsuits, one of which he is the defendant. Currently, Prime Energy Drink is being sued by the United States Olympics and Paralympics and the distributor of Prime. Logan Paul is accused of breaking his word and contracts and generally being a bad business person.

This is a drastic step to shut down a journalist…

Furthermore, his name has repeatedly surfaced in at least one alleged crypto scam labeled a “rug pull” by some. Logan launched a lawsuit against Coffeezilla, a YouTube investigative journalist known for exposing frauds and asking the hard questions. Even though Logan has shouted out Coffeezilla for doing just that, he filed a lawsuit when Coffeezilla did the same to him. It makes a person question Logan Paul’s true intent. Some have characterized his lawsuit as a “SLAPP suit”, or a meritless lawsuit meant to financially ruin an opponent into silence. This is a drastic step to shut down a journalist exercising his First Amendment rights if true.

The Takeaway

Social media influencers Logan Paul, KSI and Mr. Beast have once again taken a product from social media to retail shelves, but Lunchly is seemingly another misguided fail. Its lack of individuality on top of its alleged poor production has led to other social media influencers calling them out. Logan Paul and his partners are producing a product that could hurt consumers, primarily children. Considering Logan Paul’s reported capacity for grifting, even if this product doesn’t survive, another poorly executed idea of his will emerge in its place.
