MAGA fanatics are in a rage on X (formerly Twitter) after Representative Jasmine Crockett, Democrat from Texas, correctly called Donald Trump “…a thug in charge of the United States.” That truth bomb came during an MSNBC interview in which the Congresswoman spoke on Trump’s attempts to dismantle the system of checks and balances.

What Happened

Some of the Right-Wingers offended by Representative Jasmine Crockett’s statements argue that Trump is not a thug. To clarify, according to Dictionary.com, a “thug” is a violent, lawless, or vicious person, especially one who commits a crime such as assault, robbery, or murder.” Thugs tend to be bullies, and that is what Trump is. From the highest office in the country, Donald Trump is seemingly running a Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organization.

Was Representative Jasmine Crocket r right about Trump being a thug? Let’s take a look at some of Trump’s actions.

1. A thug includes being a “lawless” person, and Donald Trump has been convicted of 34 felony counts and has been found liable for the sexual assault of E. Jean Carroll. The jury awarded her $5 million dollars.

2. Trump used backdoor means to pay off stripper Stormy Daniels to avoid having that information damage his chances at winning the presidency in 2016. In this “Hush Money” trial, Trump was found guilty of 34 felony counts.

3. After a murderous mob of thugs influenced by Trump stormed the Capitol with intents to kill the Vice President, Trump pardoned or commuted the sentences of all of them, over 1,500 criminals, and let them loose back into the country untethered.

4. To make things worse, Trump requested a list of every federal prosecutor and FBI agent who worked on the cases of the January 6th thugs with intent to fire these government employees. He’s fired the prosecutors, and he’s looking to do the same to the FBI agents. Imagine being a prosecutor or agent and being fired for prosecuting or arresting criminals who were literally found guilty or plead guilty to crimes they committed against the country.

5. The day before his inauguration as the president of the United States, Trump released a meme coin, a shoddy one the likes of which have sent people like Logan Paul civil court or others to jail. The only difference is, Trump took the route that many “clever” grifters do. He let people know the coin is just not meant to be worth anything of value. New grifters are making meme crypto coins but saying it’s “for irony” or “as a joke”, but then they cash in on the coin and leave those who invested high and dry. Trump is no different.

6. Reports came out that Donald Trump accepted $10 million in cash from Egypt. The Washington Post noted in an article that “Five days before Donald Trump became president in January 2017, a manager at a bank branch in Cairo received an unusual letter from an organization linked to the Egyptian intelligence service. It asked the bank to ‘kindly withdraw’ nearly $10 million from the organization’s account — all in cash.” The story is shocking. But it looks like Trump’s DOJ through then-US Attorney General Bill Barr quashed the investigation into this. Barr is known as a Trump loyalist, even with their spats in between.

The Takeway

Donald Trump is the embodiment of what a thug is and what they represent. Trump’s sole focus has been on gaining more wealth for himself, using political power to crush opposition and taking less than legal steps to conceal his disgraceful behavior. Trump has no moral compass, and he rewards violent support with pardons. To see him and not immediately see a thug is to not see at all. On the “Thug Scale,” with “1” being the least thuggish and “10” as thuggish as it gets, Trump is a 10, the biggest thug. Representative Crockett correctly identified Trump as a thug sitting in the highest office in this country.
