Video Allegedly Shows Amazon Warehouse Employees in WWE Smackdown-Style Fight

In a video on Facebook titled “Amazon Workers Fighting on the Job,” two unnamed alleged Amazon employees fistfight and bodyslam one another.

What Happened

The video begins with two employees, one in a green shirt and the other in black, fistfighting. The one in green has the other pinned on the floor near some containers as he pummels him. The videographer exclaims, “I ain’t breaking up shit,” as he keeps his phone trained on the action. The roars from the other employees in the warehouse echo like an audience witnessing a WWE match.

The two employees scuttle across the concrete floor, and the man in black struggles to get his balance. But the man in green is able to maintain the upper hand. The guy in green lands a flurry of punches to the head and upper area of his opponent. The punches are fast and land for the most part, but they are weak.

As the guy in green throws his quick but ineffective punches, the man in black comes to his feet, while gripping the legs of the other man. He then fully bodyslams the employee in green onto the concrete floor. The warehouse erupts in a roar.

At that point, two or three other men finally charge in and separate the men. The cameraman tells others, “Don’t get in that.” He also seemingly encourages the two men to continue to fight. He does nothing to calm the altercation. He seems to want to instigate it.

With videos emerging allegedly showing altercations between Amazon employees, people are asking if the company is doing enough to protect its employees. Some are also wondering why Amazon’s work culture is seemingly so violent. Amazon has been known to overwork and underpay its employees. These stresses may be contributing to a toxic workplace culture, some critics of the company and its billionaire owner Jeff Bezos have argued.
