My playlist has become a cemetery
of songs buried
under flashbacks of long drives,
lip-synching
and hazy skylines.
Your misplaced notes
still sing to my soul.
Back then, time swirled to a stop,
and we became the sum
of two notes strummed
on my heart, a lifetime ago.
Now, I travel these roads
wrapped in silence, no music.
