What Happened
On March 10 at 5:30 pm, a delivery driver was on 56th and Wabash near Washington Park to drop off a pizza order. He was approached by two individuals who first tried paying for the pizza with counterfeit money. When the driver refused the fake bills, police say the suspects threatened to physically beat him. They took the food and got away on foot. This wasn’t the first robbery.
Police say the same duo robbed another delivery driver on March 22 at 10:40 pm. Near the same location of 56th and Wabash, they used a black handgun to intimidate and rob the driver. After the armed robbery, they took off on foot. The men who are believed to be between the ages of 20 and 30 have not been arrested.
