In 2025, we don’t apologize just for being men.
It seems that the media, courts and law enforcement punish men just for being men. While posts on X constantly remind us to “believe women”, we forget about the men who have been falsely accused and silenced. As noted, men are made to feel ashamed for just existing. However, without men, there wouldn’t be refrigeration for transporting blood for medical purposes or three-way traffic lights.
Being a man is hard until you fully embrace your masculinity and being a man. This means doubling down on your beliefs, speaking when offended and being the default leader in any space. The baritone of your voice, the way you walk, the way you hold eye contact, all of these things are aspects of your masculinity. By embracing these parts of your identity, you turn the tables in your favor. Women causally touch your shoulder more in conversation, and employers call you back after the interview. But it doesn’t happen if you aren’t fully embracing your manhood. This books explores the aspects of masculinity and how you can get what you want just by being a man.
