Last night, I took a walk to a local store, and on my way back, I happened to look up. It was a sight to see, full of flickering circles. It wasn’t like the glowing dots appeared in the sky overnight (though they did sort of). They’ve always been there. The difference is, this time, I was walking instead of driving (and used the camera on my phone to get a better view). It’s funny how a simple mode of transportation shifts your perspective.

I took the above photo spontaneously. When I looked up, I saw maybe a star or two. I used my phone to get a shot, and that’s when the rest of the cosmos came into view. My eyebrows raised when I saw the sky through my camera

There is a glare in the pictures, but I think they do fairly well reflecting what I saw. This is an array of moons, stars and (hopefully) planets.
This is a video I took, and I’m not sure of what it is. Everyone is going to say the moon, but I’m not sure. There were a lot of round, glowing objects in the sky.
I have a telescope that I’ve barely used as of recently, but this night reminded me of why I got it. There is something intrinsically beautiful and mysterious about the Universe, especially its bodies. I’ve always wondered, who else — or what else — is out there? I’m the person still reading about the Wow! signal in hopes of catching something researchers didn’t.
If you haven’t done so recently, take a moment to look up. Use the camera on your phone to get a better view. You don’t know what you might be missing.
