Three people were shot on August 3, and the circumstances leave more questions than answers. Because a teenager was also shot, police face more pressure to make an arrest. Here is what we know.
What Happened
At 2:20 am on August 3, CBS News reports that officers rolled up to a bloody scene. Police found two male victims in the 6600 block of South Hartwell in Chicago’s Park Manor community. The street runs between Michigan and Indiana avenues. It is unclear if the victims were on a residential property or somewhere else, but they clearly had been wounded.
The victims of the shooting were identified by police as 19-year-old and 21-year-old males. Paramedics transported the two to the University of Chicago. The 19-year-old was in good condition, while the 21-year-old was in fair condition. Police attempted to interview the victims of the shooting, but that fell apart.

CBS News claims, “… neither would cooperate with police on details on what led up to the shooting.” And the case didn’t end there.
Later on Monday morning, a 15-year-old showed up to University of Chicago’s Comer Children’s with a gunshot wound to the wrist from the same shooting, CBS notes. Even though he was listed in good condition, this has only caused more concern.
Police allegedly recovered two guns from the crime scene. They are continuing their investigation, but no suspects are in custody.
