What Happened

At 9:40 am on this past Monday, a man was caught on surveillance footage with a black duffel bag and gun, as he walked into the PNC Bank on 873 North Rush Street. The man made a beeline for the safe and was able to get some cash. However, police don’t know exactly how much.

Investigators used surveillance cameras to track the suspect. They found he had boarded a southbound Red Line train. Police believe he exited at Cermak.

Other than the surveillance footage, police have collected other evidence that includes the suspect’s clothes. They located these in an alley near the bank. These items will likely be tested forensically, considering the FBI is working on the case.
