Conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk has been pronounced dead after being shot to death at his controversial event at Utah Valley University. A clip of the incident is viewable at the bottom. It is graphic, and viewer discretion is strongly advised.

What Happened

During the event, Charlie Kirk had been answering questions from the audience. The second question from a man was on the topic of gun violence.

“So, do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last ten years?” the man asks in the video.

Charlie Kirk simply replies, “Too many,” and puts down the microphone. The audience responds with a round of applause and cheers.

“Do you know how many mass shooters there have been in America the last ten years?” the man follows up.

Kirk says, “Counting or not counting gang violence?”

Someone can be heard saying “Great” right before a single shot rang out. Kirk is seen tilting to his left. A large wound seems to appear in his throat from which a large amount of blood gushes. One witness described to NBC News seeing Kirk “go limp.”

Immediately after, people begin shouting, while Kirk’s team runs to him. As announced by Donald Trump on Truth Social, Kirk has been confirmed as dead.

Who Killed Kirk?

Although an elderly man was seen being taken into custody, police have confirmed this man is not the suspect, as reported by the BBC. Police have begun going door to door on campus in search of witnesses.

Furthermore, there are at least 20 — 30 witnesses of the shooting. Some allegedly identified the elderly man who’d been arrested as the shooter. However, as noted above, authorities have confirmed this man is not the suspect. The investigation into the shooting continues.
