What Happened
Just after 9 pm on July 16, four men were enjoying the weather at Washington Park on Chicago’s Southside at 5100 S. Calumet. As they did, police say a black vehicle pulled up.
Before the men could react, reports from FOX News Chicago allege someone inside the vehicle opened fire. The damage was gruesome and immediate.
A 54-year-old man was shot in unspecified parts of his body, while a 34-year-old man was shot in the legs. Another man who is 35 was also shot in the body. All three men lived and were transported to various local hospitals. However, a 44-year-old man faced more serious injuries.
The 44-year-old victim was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. Police say that is where he succumbed to the gunshot wounds.
Unfortunately, no arrests have been made.
