What Happened
According to FOX32 Chicago, in the early morning of Wednesday, August 5, two women pulled into the gas station in the 7400 block of South State Street. The gas station is called Zuby’s, though it is branded with Shell logos. Either way, the brief stop there immediately went sideways.

Jazmin Riley, one of the victims, spoke to FOX32 Chicago by phone. The two women had been out celebrating the birthday of the other victim. Riley was the driver of their vehicle, and they had been parked in the gas station only momentarily when the gunmen appeared.

In the video, the victims sit parked in a silver vehicle that appears to be a Ford Escape. A white vehicle rolls into the gas station lot, and two men bail out from the right side. They leave the doors open as they charge toward the Ford Escape. Another suspect eventually hops out of the vehicle as well.

The gunmen immediately open the passenger and driver car doors. The women put their hands up and comply with the orders of the robbers, as the robbers hold “army guns,” according to Riley.
The gunmen took their phones, money, purses and other belongings. Reports don’t mention their vehicle being taken. However, the robbers made off without getting caught. But the video has some good evidence. For one, much of the suspects’ clothing is clear.

One suspect appears to be wearing a grey hoodie. Another appears to be wearing red sweatpants, and a third suspect appears to be wearing black pants of some type. Although these descriptions help, they can only make a difference with your input.
The Takeaway

This is a high-traffic area, where people stop to get medicine, shop for food and stop for gas. And this is where the robbery happened to a woman on her birthday.
