A crew of armed robbers targeting businesses has had the city on high alert. Now, that same crew is suspected of being caught on camera robbing a pawn shop. Here’s what we know.
What Happened
A video from Tuesday, August 11, 2026, shows the moment a business is robbed by a group of 3 men. The incident took place at 10:57 am in the 2300 block of West Cermak Road at a pawn shop.
In the video below, you can see a gray vehicle pull up to the pawn shop. Reports say the vehicle is a gray or white Acura ADX. Either way, the vehicle comes to a stop, and two of the robbers get out. They appear to be wearing ski masks or other face coverings. Eventually, the driver appears to exit as well.

The gunman in a black “Glock” hoodie makes it inside the pawn shop first. He appears to be wearing white and orange gloves, in addition to his black ski mask and carrying a bag. As he enters the establishment, he points a gun at someone out of view of the camera. He then pushes the door open for another of the robbers, who comes inside.
To avoid getting stuck inside, the gunman in the Glock hoodie uses a green ladder to hold the door open. Once all three men are inside, they go to work stealing.
They shatter glasses with kicks and pulls, and then they empty the shelves as quickly as they can. They do not appear gentle, while they smash and take anything they can.
They fill multiple bags with jewelry, cash and the personal property of some of the victims before fleeing. Police say this isn’t their first robbery.

According to FOX32 Chicago, these are the armed robberies this crew is suspected of committing:
- July 2 at 9:28 a.m. in the 4500 block of South Cicero Avenue in LeClaire Courts
- July 6 at 10:03 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in Wicker Park
- Aug. 1 at 4:15 p.m. in the 4500 block of South Cicero Avenue in LeClaire Courts
- Aug. 11 at 10:57 a.m. in the 2300 block of West Cermak Road in Heart of Chicago
