What Happened
According to CBS News, a group of four were standing on the sidewalk in the 8500 block of South Sangamon Street at about 7:17 pm last night, Saturday, August 15. This is when their everyday activity in the Auburn Gresham community got violent.

As reported by police, an unknown vehicle pulled up with multiple armed occupants, who let off a hail of gunfire. They fired at the victims, as they ran in an attempt to save their lives. After the shooting, the vehicle sped away and left behind critically wounded victims.
A man of unknown age was shot in the abdomen and taken to Christ Hospital in critical condition. A 43-year-old man was hit in the left leg and taken to the same hospital in critical condition. A 32-year-old man was hit in the right leg but refused medical treatment. It’s unclear how serious his injuries were. A 32-year-old female victim who was grazed in the left arm also refused medical attention.
No suspects are in custody.
