What Happened
According to the Chicago Tribune, several Streets and Sanitation workers shockingly found “human remains” in the Grand Crossing community. The discovery came Monday, July 27, at about 9:30 am.

One garbage truck driver and two workers were emptying trash cans near 68th and Prairie in an alleyway. Reports say at this time, they became suspicious and discovered the decomposed remains.
A police report allegedly obtained by the Chicago Tribune characterized the remains as “two skeletonized legs and parts of a skull underneath other known material.” There are more questions than answers.
As of right now, the person whose remains were found has not been identified. Additionally, no suspect has been named. There is also no information on how long the body was there or how the workers came to actually discover the remains. Also, the gender of the victim has not been given, and neither has the estimated age.
